65 years after its foundation, the well-known 'Le Sanglier des Ardennes' was acquired by the group 'La Petite Merveille' in 2017. The new owners, Bart Maerten and Marc Coucke, had the vision to retain all the good and tradition of this renowned hotel but to renew and expand where necessary to exceed the new requirements of our guests.
From this new vision a plan was made for several years. The first step in this was to ensure that in the culinary field the Sanglier des Ardennes became a solid value again, known for its quality. To achieve this goal, the kitchen was completely renewed and it came under the leadership of the talented and experienced star chef Wout Bru, business partner of Bart and Marc. He restored the gastronomic restaurant to a high level and added a new restaurant, La Bru'sserie. After a brief but intensive refurbishment, La Bru'sserie opened its doors in early July 2017. Both restaurants were rewarded with a 14/20 in Gault Millau in the first year.
The next step is to adapt the infrastructure of Hotel Le Sanglier des Ardennes. This renovation in itself is a project of several years. The first phase has started in early 2018 and will be completed shortly. The goal is a hotel with more than 100 rooms and suites, 3 restaurants, 6 meeting rooms and a wellness center.
You notice that at the moment we are working hard on the creation of a new chapter in the long history of Le Sanglier des Ardennes.
